Many pharmaceutical pain medications, while effective and useful at times, can be downright dangerous, but there is another solution to your pain problem.

Here Are Some Of Those Natural Pain Killers I Have Compiled For You

Cayenne Pepper

It has  several types of natural pain relief. The powerful pepper actually helps alleviate post-operative pain, including pain relief after a mastectomy or amputation.

Capsaicin, an important natural painkiller found in cayenne, helps treat muscle soreness, tension and even skin infections. Look for it in natural painkilling creams.

Cayenne pepper is also a potent candida killer. Scientists found it’s active against 16 different fungal strains, including candida, a common internal infection linked to joint pain, among other candida symptoms.

Note: Cayenne also provides external pain reliever.

Devil’s Claw Also Called Harpagophytum Procumbens

This herb is actually great for treating numerous health conditions, among them are liver problems and heart burn. It also has anti-inflammatory effects and can reduce pain from arthritis, headaches, and low back discomfort.

Tropical Fruits

Bromelain is a powerful enzyme found in the most delightful tropical fruits, like pineapples.

While most enzymes get broken down in the digestive tract, bromelain actually gets absorbed into our bodies whole, resulting in system-wide effects. Once absorbed into the bloodstream, studies have shown that it can reduce inflammation and reduce pain .

Eating pineapple can provide you with some bromelain, especially if you juice the hard stem and drink it on an empty stomach. Juicing pineapple in a combo with aloe, ginger and turmeric is a powerful of anti-inflammatory pain relief remedy.

Note: Bromelain can also be found on its own as a supplement.

Willow Bark

The bark of the white willow contains the chemical salicin, which is similar to the main ingredient in aspirin.

Originally, people chewed the bark itself to relieve pain and fevers. Now willow bark is sold as a dried herb that you can brew like tea. It also comes as a liquid supplement or in capsule form. You can use willow bark to help relieve discomfort from headaches, low back pain, osteoarthritis (OA), and many other conditions.

Willow bark can cause stomach upset, may slow down your kidneys, and can prolong bleeding time, just like aspirin. It should only be used by adults. Similar to how aspirin taken in large quantities can be harmful for children, willow bark could be poisonous to children.

Note: avoid willow bark If you’re sensitive to aspirin. You should also avoid taking it if you’re taking warfarin (Coumadin) or other anticoagulant treatments, as salicin could increase the risk of bleeding.

Turmeric

Turmeric has been used for over 4,000 years to treat a ton of different conditions ranging from infections to cancers to inflammation to digestive problems.

Turmeric can be enjoyed as a tea, or used in recipes. You can also buy curcumin in capsule form.

Birch Leaf Also Called Betula Lenta

The main chemical compound found in Birch leaves is methyl salicylate, similar to salicylic acid used in aspirin.

It is anti-spasmodic, analgesic, astringent, antifungal, diuretic, detoxifying, reduces oxidative damage to skin, and enhances circulation.

It also promotes enzymatic secretions in the body. It is truly one of the first powerful pain-relievers ever used.

Wasabi

Wasabi has natural painkilling properties. It has the isothiocyanates in wasabi as potential pain relievers.

Isothiocyanates can block an inflammation receptor, making it a potentially important natural painkiller.

Hot Chili Peppers

Capsaicin that is found in hot chili peppers, this natural remedy does wonders for pain. Capsaicin, the active pain-reducing ingredient, temporarily desensitizes nerve receptors called C-fibers which cause the pain response.

Capsaicin also diminishes soreness for 3 to 5 weeks while the C-fibers regain sensation. It is said that A single 60-min application in patients with neuropathic pain produced effective pain relief for up to 12 weeks.

 Egg Membrane

The egg membrane is that transparent layer between the eggshell and the gel-like part inside of an egg. It’s easy to see on hard boiled eggs.

Egg membrane contains the components of the membrane that is designed to protect the egg, including collagen and glucosamine.

According to a recent study, egg membrane significantly reduced joint pain and stiffness in patients with arthritis of the knee when compared to a placebo.

Egg membrane can be purchased in supplement form. If you have a cut or a wound you can also use the membrane from your boiled egg in place of a Band-Aid for accelerated healing.

Cloves

The active ingredient in cloves is eugenol, a natural pain reliever that’s also used in some OTC pain rubs.  As a medicine, cloves can be found in capsule or powder form.
Like other herbal supplements, you can use cloves to treat a wide range of conditions. Cloves may help ease nausea and treat colds. They also help relieve the pain associated with headaches, arthritic inflammation, and toothaches.

Cloves can also be used as part of a topical pain reliever.
One study suggested that cloves could be used to treat fungal infections, but further research is needed.

Rubbing a tiny amount of clove oil on your gums may temporarily ease toothache pain until you can get to a dentist. But too much undiluted clove oil may actually hurt your gums, so discuss this approach with your dentist before trying it at home.

Note: People with bleeding disorders or who are taking blood-thinning medication should be careful when consuming clove products. Clove oil can increase the risk of abnormal bleeding.

Cherries

Due to the presence of compounds called anthocyanins, the same phytonutrients that give cherries their rich ruby hue – you can count on cherries to tamp down pain. They block inflammation and they inhibit pain enzymes, just like aspirin, naproxen, and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories.

Cherries are said to have the highest anti-inflammatory content of any food, making them great for remedying issues such as arthritis.

Epsom Salt

Epsom salt is rich in  magnesium a natural painkiller for bone and joint pain and muscle soreness.

But Epsom salt can also come in handy when you’re dealing with a painful splinter or even post-childbirth soreness.

Soaking an area affected with a splinter in warm water and epsom salt helps painlessly draw out splinters. A sitz bath including epsom salt can help increase magnesium and quell inflammation associated with soreness after childbirth.

Pineapple Stems

Bromelain is natural pain-reducer comes from the enzymes present in pineapple stems. Research shows that it reduces levels of prostaglandins, which are hormones that induce inflammation.

Bromelain benefits people with arthritis and conditions marked by musculoskeletal tension, in addition to those suffering trauma-related inflammation.

The enzyme also promotes healing in muscles and connective tissues.

Aquamin

Derived from red seaweed, aquamin is a powerful pain reducer, too. In a study published in Nutrition Journal, of 70 volunteers, Aquamin users reduced arthritis pain by 20% in a month and had less stiffness than patients taking a placebo.

Helping to diminish inflammation and helps to build bone, aquamin is rich in both calcium and magnesium, too.

Acupuncture

This  is an ancient Chinese medical practice  which seeks to relieve pain by balancing the body’s natural energy pathways. The flow of energy is known as qi (pronounced CHEE).

For this practice, acupuncturists place tiny, thin needles into your skin. The location of the insertion is related to the source of the pain. Based on the qi, a needle may be inserted far from the part of the body experiencing pain.

Acupuncture may relieve pain by causing the body to release serotonin, a “feel-good” chemical that eases pain.

Acupuncture helps relieve pain associated with OA, migraines, and various locations of chronic pain.

Peppermint Also Called Mentha Piperita

Peppermint is most often used as a natural remedy for toothaches, discomfort from bloating and gas, joint conditions, skin irritations, headaches and muscle pain.

Cranberry Juice

Ulcers usually result from a pathogen called H. pylori which attacks the lining of the stomach and small intestines, but cranberry juice can kill it – reducing pain.

Destroy the bacteria causing your ulcers and urinary tract infections with cranberries with crane berries.

Heat And Ice

Among the most common home pain remedies is applying heat and ice directly to sites of pain. While this treatment may seem obvious, not everyone’s clear on exactly when to use ice versus heat.

Applying an ice pack to reduce swelling and inflammation shortly after you experience a strained muscle, tendon, or ligament may bring relief. Interestingly, once the inflammation has disappeared, heat may help reduce the stiffness that comes with sprains and strains.

A cold pack used briefly on the head may also help take away the pain of a headache.

If your painful problem is arthritis, moist heat applied to the affected joint will help more than ice. Moist heat packs can be warmed in the microwave and used many times, making them effective and easy to use.
